XY INC. APPROVES FIRST COMMERCIAL LICENSE FOR CATTLE IN U.S.

FORT COLLINS—With the formal approval of XY Inc. and supported by the USDA, Inguran – XY Inc.’s first commercial U.S. licensee – is offering complete sexed-semen services in conjunction with bulls custom collected at Genetic Resource International Inguran is located in Navasota, Texas.

The USDA’s formal approval of the sale of sorted sperm from cattle and horses in the U.S. is a first in the history of non-human sperm-sorting technology.

Currently, Inguran has nine sorters operating. GRI and Sexing Technologies, Inguran’s sex-selection company, are at the same location just south of College Station, Texas, on Highway 6.

Inguran projects to have sexed semen from many top sires in several breeds available for purchase by the close of 2004.

In addition, Inguran is actively acquiring the expertise in equine sorting and breeding and plans to go commercial under its equine license, also in 2004.
