XY INC. HIRES SEASONED PR PROFESSIONAL AS DIRECTOR OF CORPORATE RELATIONS
FORT COLLINS—XY Inc. has hired Melissa Katsimpalis as director of corporate relations, XY Inc. CEO Mervyn Jacobson announced today.
XY Inc. is a global biotech company headquartered in Fort Collins, Colo. (www.xyinc.com). It is the only company in the world to have developed and successfully commercialized sex selection for all relevant non-human mammals. Already, thousands of pregnancies and successful offspring of cows, horses, pigs and sheep have occurred worldwide, using the XY® sex-selection technology.

Katsimpalis will be responsible for directing communications campaigns, including international media relations, marketing and special events and providing support to XY Inc. licensees and stockholders.
Katsimpalis, who most recently co-owned ISIS Public Relations & Marketing Inc., has more than 30 years experience in developing and directing strategic public relations and marketing campaigns and programs. She began her career as director of communications for the University of Illinois School of Basic Medical Sciences. She then moved to Colorado State University, a Carnegie Class I research institution, where she spent 16 years, the last six of her tenure as the university’s top PR administrator.
In 1997, she co-founded ISIS as a full-service PR agency and served clients in sectors that ranged from bioscience and medicine to higher education, local government and the arts. From 2002-2005, she managed Gallery 233, a contemporary art gallery operated by ISIS.
Katsimpalis holds of a bachelor of science degree in journalism from Northwestern University, Medill School of Journalism.
