Dr. Mervyn Jacobson, M.B.B.S., is Chairman of the Board of Directors
of XY Inc. and also XY's CEO and President. Dr. Jacobson, a graduate
of the University of Melbourne Medical School, is recognized worldwide
as a leader in developing new technology-based businesses in the
fields of biotechnology and advanced genetics - with special relevance
to
medical and veterinarian applications. His successful commercial,
medically related ventures include:
- formation
of the Regional Medical Supply Company, which grew to become
one of Australia's largest importers and distributors of medical,
dental and hospital supplies;
- founder
of Datalab, a sophisticated diagnostic laboratory in Australia,
which grew to become a highly profitable business, and was
sold in 1993.
Dr.
Jacobson, who is a consultant to the University of Zurich's
Research for the Horse program and a sought-after speaker
for major
international scientific gatherings, also is Chairman of GeneType AG, a
Swiss-based genetic research company that specializes in advanced
DNA
genetic
research and testing. Genetype's main research and development
facility currently is in Australia. In 1998, the Australian government
awarded GeneType a multi-million dollar grant to encourage expansion of
its
advanced DNA research in Australia.
In August 2000, GeneType AG was acquired by Genetic Technologies
Limited (GTG). Dr. Jacobson then was appointed Executive
Chairman of GTG,
a public company on the Australian Stock Exchange.
In 2004, Dr. Jacobson was appointed Chief Technology Officer
of the Scientific Advisory Board of the Chinese National
Animal Breeding
Stock Export/Import Corporation.
Dr. David Cran

Dr. Cran, Scientist, XY Inc., earned his Ph.D. from Edinburgh University in
Scotland. After a four year postdoctoral position in Australia he joined
the Animal Research Station in Cambridge, known for its extensive
pioneering work in animal reproduction. During the next 17 years at
Cambridge and at the Babraham Institute, Cran carried out basic studies on
the physiology and structure of eggs and spermatozoa, and was involved in
the elucidation of the nature of cellular signals during fertilization.
He also was involved in early studies into IVF in pigs and sheep and has
published numerous scientific articles. In late 1991 Cran joined Mastercalf
Ltd., also located in Cambridge, and was responsible for the project that
produced the first sex-selected calves in 1992. In 1995 the center for
semen sexing moved to Aberdeen where a collaboration with the Scottish
Agricultural College resulted in the first lambs to be born following
intrauterine insemination with sexed sperm. After XY Inc. acquired
Mastercalf Ltd. in 1997, Dr Cran assumed a dual assignment in the UK and
Colorado. Today he is supporting the XY Inc. research program and training
new licensees about the XY technology.

researcher at Kyoto University
in the laboratory of Professor
Hideaki
Yamada, working on a new
biocatalysis method for
production of nicotinamide.
In 1994, he returned to
